TOP ALBUM 2011 (Mathias)
1/ James Blake – James Blake
Le dubstep a trouvé son Erik Satie. Et même bien plus en fait.
2/ Battles – Gloss Drop
C'est cubiste, pointilliste, intelligent et insaisissable
3/ Connan Mockasin – Forever Dolphin Love
Un juste équilibre entre Melody Nelson et le syndrome de Peter Pan rendant ce premier LP inusable.
4/ Metronomy – English Riviera
Du jambon-purée. Des recettes (et mélodies) simples poussées à leur climax. Un bon (et rare) exemple de pop durable en 2011.
5/ Bon Iver – Bon Iver
Recyclage de la chienlit 80's avec élégance
6/ Blood Orange – Coastal Grooves
Recyclage de la chienlit 80's avec sensualité
7/ St Vincent – Strange Mercy
St Vincent a ce je-sais-quoi que la plupart de ses contemporains ont perdu : une (voire douze) mélodie(s).
8/ Panda Bear – Tomboy
Poignant.
9/ The Rapture – In The Grace Of Your Love
The Rapture s'essaye au tube et ça leur réussit. Simplement, le meilleur album DFA de 2011, ça veut tout dire.
10/ M83 – Hurry Up, We're Dreaming
Un double album qui ne s'appelle pas "Best-Of" mais qui contient le meilleur de M83. Un recyclage gracieux de la chienlit de votre enfance, si vous avez grandi dans les 90's.
11/ The Horrors – Skying
Exercice de style, les Horreurs portent désormais leur nom avec noblesse.
12/ Zomby – Dedication (LP) / Nothing EP
Deux albums, deux énormes réussites. La musique électronique U.K est désormais gouvernée par un visage masqué.
