Prosto label presents two most awaited polish hip-hop albums of the year:
WWO - W Witrynach Odbicia "Zycie na kredycie" ("Life on credit")
WWO - W Wyjatkowych Okolicznościach "Witam was w rzeczywistosci" ("Welcome
to reality")
These are 2 separate albums.
The first one is a project of Jedker and Deszczu.
The other was created by Sokol and Deszczu.
However they are not solo albums.
Both rappers appear on both albums.
WWO "Zycie na kredycie" ("Life on credit")
Previous WWO
WWO have been believed to be the top band in Polish hip-hop since they
released their first album in 2000. Sokol and Jedker have also performed as
members of ZIP Sklad since 1996. At the same time Deszczu begun to play the
gramophones and he became the champion of Polish DMC in 1999. Three tracks
from their second album got to the top of charts. The WWO group was one of
the most frequently live performing polish bands in 2001-2004, also abroad -
in England, Czech, Slovakia, Lithuania and Germany.
For their last album they received 4 awards of the "Slizg" hip-hop magazine:
Album of the Year, Video of the Year, Group of the Year and DJ of the Year.
Apart from that, they got the Album of the Year award of the Internet portal
www.hip-hop.plWWO received also two awards for the "Sen" ("Dream") video during Yach Film
Festival and Offensiva Festival.
New WWO
After three-year break WWO comes back with twice as much power - two albums
at one time.
The really sensational news about them is the reputation and origins of the
producers. The beat-makers who made the music for both albums have never
been present in polish hip-hop so far:
The Horsemen - producers' duo from the States, known from cooperation with
Mary J. Blige, Jay Z, Ludacris, Twista, Trick Daddy, Jadakiss, Mase, many
other top hip-hop performers and Jennifer Lopez.
